Launch curves
Player counts aligned on days since release rather than calendar date. This is what makes a new release comparable to its predecessors: it answers whether launch retention is improving or deteriorating, which a calendar-aligned chart cannot show.
1 title(s) tracked from launch:
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.
Curves for these start at day 0 and show the real decay shape.
Peak concurrent players by age
Log scale by default: launch peaks are often an order of magnitude above the steady state, which flattens everything else on a linear axis. “% of own peak” compares decay shape independently of size.
Retention from peak
| Game | Released | Peak seen | Day 7 | Day 14 | Day 30 | Day 90 | Launch tracked |
|---|
Percentages are of each title's own peak. A steep fall means a
one-off revenue event; a shallow one means recurring engagement, which
is what supports post-launch monetisation. Dashes mean the age was
never observed.
